What is W.O.R.C.’s Mission?
W.O.R.C., Inc. represents the highest professional standard in advocating for people with developmental disabilities. We value each person’s right to dignified and respectful support. This philosophy promotes integration, independence and offering choice.
How do individuals with disabilities choose W.O.R.C.’s services?
Each individual in Dane County has their own Support Broker who will assist them in choosing an agency. They receive a rate from the county to purchase services and their Broker assists them in signing a contract with W.O.R.C. for those services. This model is called “Self-Directed Services” and our agency works closely with the Brokers and the consumers of our services to continually determine how we can best meet their needs and provide quality customer service. Some individuals are also funded by the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation or through private pay funds. ~more
